Vietnam: Is there a phenomenon that officials of the Ministry of Finance want to quit?
The Minister of Finance of Vietnam has just revealed that there is a phenomenon that officials at this ministry want to resign because of work pressure.
In a meeting of the National Assembly Standing Committee on September 19, Mr. Ho Duc Phuc said. “In the past, when I worked as the State Auditor General, I only edited one law in 5 years and found it very difficult, but coming here (the Ministry of Finance) there are 13 laws, not to mention Circulars and decrees. Constantly having to read, having to organize conferences, research, understand, it is very hard.” “Some take a lot of time off work. Even the deputy director, the head of the department also resigned. I have to meet and encourage them all the time.
According to Thanh Nien newspaper, Mr. Phuc shared that on the afternoon of September 18, he met the head of the Department of Price Management (Ministry of Finance) to convince the officer to stay. “I asked: You have worked at the Ministry of Finance for 20 years, have 2 university degrees, 1 master’s degree, good at English, now you quit what do you do? She said that I don’t do anything, I just take a break. “I asked her if I could transfer her to a less risky, more relaxing department, and she said that if you say that, then I betrayed my colleagues. Now, I move from a difficult department to another department, I just want to go home.”
